A listener asks: “I’m a terrible reader. What do you suggest I can do to be a more proficient reader?
Ben and I gave our thoughts on this week’s podcast:
Here are a few book recommendations for new readers:
- The Pelican Brief was my gateway book into reading.
- Dan Brown books read like a movie. Start withThe Da Vinci Code
- Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Series (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) is one of my all-time favorites.
- Steven Johnson’s How We Got to Now is a good way to dabble in non-fiction. Great stories and easily digestible.
It’s hard to stop here, but if I let this list get much longer, you’d never get started. If you want to get into reading, pick one of these and be on your way.
Also, we’re now doing some video clips of our shows. If you want to see them every week, you can find them here.
